The PlayGarden is open to visit every day of the week dawn to dusk. When visiting, please be respectful and a good steward of the garden. The PlayGarden Preschool runs Monday-Friday from 9am-1pm. The garden is open to the public to visit during our preschool program. When coming to play during our preschool hours we ask that check in with a PlayGarden teacher. ALWAYS close the gate when you come or go for the safety of all children visiting. There is access to a public bathroom on the south side of the Garden House. It’s maintained by Seattle Parks & Recreation, and may be locked. Please do not feed the animals, throw grass or rocks in the duck pond- it clogs. The plants, fruits and vegetables are growing for our garden to table preschool program. Please watch your children in the garden and limit their harvesting. Join us for a day of Fall festivities at the PlayGarden! We will have inclusive and family-friendly activities for all to enjoy including an Autumn leaf print making station, a cozy campfire in the grape arbor, festive photo opportunities, a pumpkin carving station, & a pie potluck! Don’t forget to BYOP- Bring Your Own Pumpkins and/or Pie for the pie potluck! Our PlayGarden staff will be excited to greet and play with your kids, carve pumpkins, make art projects and help your family visit with our flock of chickens, ducks and rabbits. If your family is able to enjoy another park or playground, we ask that you consider a different venue so that families with disabilities have the PlayGarden available. If the garden becomes crowded with parties it can become less accessible to many of our families with children with disabilities. While we do not reserve or rent the indoor or outdoor space for private events, you are welcome to have your party outdoors, on a first come first serve basis if it meets Seattle Parks guidelines. https://www.seattle.gov/parks/reserve/picnic-rentals Before planning an event at the PlayGarden, please make sure to: Check our calendar to make sure there are no other events happening. The PlayGarden is a small non-profit that pays all of the maintenance costs of the site. Limit your use of the picnic tables to one per party. Please clean up decorations – No confetti. Pack out all of your trash, recycling, and composting as we cannot accommodate increased garbage. Leave the Load-Un-Load zone free of cars.
