About this event
One of 34 upcoming events at Seattle REconomy, and 3,044 across Seattle.
We’ll have thousands of tools, baked goods, wrapping paper, and holiday decorations. Any offer accepted for tools and holiday items! This is our very first indoor Winter Tool Sale hosted at Reuse Commons Lake City! Not only will there be thousands of tools for sale, but we’ll have wrapping paper, ornaments, holiday decorations, baked goods, and coffee! All offers are accepted for tools and holiday-related items. Categories of tools available include power tools, landscaping, hand tools, electrical, painting, plumbing, kitchen, building materials, and so much more available for ANY price! $20 for a chainsaw? No problem. $10 for a reciprocating saw? You got it. A highfive for a socket set? As long as it’s sincere, it’s a deal! There will be a special offer for new and renewing members of our tool libraries (NE Seattle Tool Library & Shoreline Tool Library): A 15% off coupon for our Reuse Materials Store at Shoreline Tool Library. When to arrive: Looking for a popular tool or the best selection of holiday-related items? A line starts forming over an hour before the event, so get there early! Not a fan of lines? We’ll still have thousands of great finds midway through the event, but the crowd usually thins out! Love collecting things and want the best deal on whatever is left? Everything is free during the last hour (2–3pm)! Presale Tickets & Ticket Raffles: We’re getting the line moving early with 22 presale tickets (plus-one only included for certain tickets, please read below)! Presale ticketholders must arrive between 8:30–8:45am and present their digital (or printed) ticket to enter the Tool Sale early. 20 tickets will be for sale for $100 each, and tickets do not include a plus-one. Proceeds directly support the nonprofit Seattle REconomy tool libraries. Two tickets will be raffled off to those who RSVP, and each ticket includes an optional plus-one. If you RSVP (for free) to this event and check the “Yes please!” box at checkout before 12/4 at 9am, you will be entered into a raffle to win a presale ticket. The raffle winners (and their plus-one) have first priority to the Tool Sale, regardless of when they arrive within the 8:30–8:45am window. We will email the presale ticket winners on 12/4 around 9am. If you would like to donate tools or holiday-related items, you can donate at the locations listed below during regular open hours (except for the first and last 30 minutes of the day). Check out our Donate Tools & Materials page to learn more about what type of items we accept. As for holiday-related items, please ensure items are clean and usable. Thank you for considering a donation with us! Become a Seattle REconomy tool library member Parking and Transportation Information: Public Transit: Served by bus route 522 from Roosevelt Station, or route 61 from Northgate Station. Biking: There are multiple bicycle route options available to the Reuse Commons, but we do not currently have a reliable space to park and lock up your bike. Driving/Carpooling: There will be a large parking lot with volunteer coordination throughout the event. Guests will be required to exit the parking area at the conclusion of the event. There is additional street parking along Lake City Way NE if you would prefer. Regardless of where you park, we’ll have space for folks to hold their things while they retrieve their car, so you don’t have to walk all the way back to your car with your new finds.
