October Volunteer Night at Kent Station

Spend an evening with the SUMM community at our relaxed, hands-on Volunteer Night at Kent Station! These monthly gatherings are part volunteering, part activity testing, and part chance to connect with other community members who care about spreading math joy. This month, you'll get a behind-the-scenes look at SUMM programs by helping with essential organizational projects, while also getting the exclusive opportunity to play and give feedback on a game from our brand-new Moves that Matter exhibit using only the provided directions. It’s a fun, social way to support SUMM’s mission whether you enjoy crafting, organizing, or simply pitching in where needed. Alongside testing out the new exhibit activity, volunteers at our Kent Station space will focus on refreshing and preparing the museum floor. Tasks for this night include laminating and cutting new exhibit materials, as well as cleaning the museum's hands-on manipulatives to keep them ready for visitors.
