Crossing the Delaware with Col. John Bailey (Hanover)

Historian Stephen O’Neill brings to life Washington’s daring Christmas crossing and the role of Col. John Bailey’s 2nd Massachusetts Regiment, which was present for the operation. Among its soldiers was Major Judah Alden of Duxbury, born and raised at Alden House, who served with the 2nd Massachusetts throughout the war, offering a fascinating local connection to one of the Revolution’s most iconic moments.
