From publicly posted calendar Checked 7 hours ago
About this event
One of 354 upcoming events at See Plymouth.
Join colonial hearth cooks at the new Alden hearth to explore harvest‑time foodways in early New England. Mother‑daughter reenactors Leslie Evans and Diana Dunlap will demonstrate how colonial housewives relied on a plentiful autumn harvest to sustain their families through the long winter by preserving what they could. Visitors will see techniques such as pickling cucumbers, drying apples, salting fish, making butter and cheese, and preparing dishes like hasty pudding that highlight the importance of corn. This program is included with your tour admission fee.
