About this event
One of 161 upcoming events at Seymour Library.
The role and perspectives of Native Americans during the Revolutionary War are often overlooked. Thousands of Haudenosaunee (Iroquois), including Queen Catharine Montour, a leader of her people, were swept up into this tsunami for freedom. Author Cynthia G. Neale will discuss the research that went into writing Catharine, Queen of the Tumbling Waters, a historical fiction novel inspired by the unsung heroine and her people. Copies of the book will be available to purchase. This program is made possible by the Friends of Seymour Library.
