About this event
One of 2 upcoming events at SHADOW Lake Nature Preserve, and 2,847 across Seattle.
Have you ever wondered what the biggest tree in the world is? How trees communicate? Why some trees have needles and some have leaves? How to tell different trees apart? Come to SHADOW Lake Nature Preserve to answer these questions and more! On November 21st, Seattle Naturalist Issa Moffet and SHADOW Ecologists Sophie Goodson and Cecilia Monahan will introduce you to the trees that grow in the Nature Preserve, explore how trees are adapted to the climate of the PNW, and describe the ways that trees keep the wildlife of forests alive. The event will include a guided tree walk around SHADOW Lake Nature Preserve and sampling of Western White Pines led by Naturalist Issa Moffett. Join us on November 21st at 10am at the Richter Education Center at 21656 184th Ave SE, Renton WA to talk about trees. The event is free, and donations are encouraged. Register below!
