Kick off festival weekend with Farm Fest! This family-friendly event will take place on Thursday, September 24, 2026, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on the grounds of the Shadows-on-the-Teche. Enjoy a variety of old-fashioned carnival games (open until 7:00 p.m.) and the Rylan’s Ranch Petting Zoo where you’ll get a chance to see baby goats, baby pigs, fluffy chickens, ducks, and rabbits. Balloon artists will use their talents to create funky hats, animals, flowers, and more! Decorate a baked treat with our friends at Frosted Apron. Attendees can enjoy festival fare along with cold beverages, including beer and wine. Admission is $10.00 per family. Tickets for food and games available for purchase. Minors must be accompanied by adults. MORE INFORMATION COMING SOON! Interested in volunteering? Farm Fest is a beloved community event that wouldn’t happen if not for the hard work and dedication of volunteers. Interested in lending a hand? Sign up HERE. Interested in sponsoring? Farm Fest is attended by multi-generational families who are out for a night of fun with their little ones. About 1,000 people pass through The Shadows’ front gate over the course of the event.
