This volume from Arcadia’s Images of America series offers a captivating visual journey through the historic cemeteries of the Verde Valley. Showcasing Sedona, Camp Verde, Cottonwood, Clarkdale, and Jerome, the book features a rich collection of archival photographs that illuminate the region’s early burial grounds and the stories they preserve. Accompanying the imagery is thoughtful narrative that explores local burial customs, evolving traditions, and the cultural importance of these sacred spaces. The book also highlights several notable individuals laid to rest in these cemeteries, adding a personal and human perspective to the area’s history. Blending compelling visuals with meaningful context, this work stands as both a tribute to the Verde Valley’s past and a valuable resource for anyone interested in regional heritage.
