Jonathan Zaidman of The Ecology Center shares the story of the 28-acre farm in San Juan Capistrano and how it brings together agriculture, ecology, food, art, and community. You’ll leave with: A clear understanding of what “regenerative” actually means, and how it differs from conventional and organic farming A closer look at the connection between healthy soil, healthy food, and thriving ecosystems A fresh perspective on how local farms can strengthen communities and our connection to food Inspiration from The Ecology Center’s innovative approach to growing, gathering, and creating Bio:Jonathan Zaidman is a local leader with over 20 years experience in grassroots campaigns, community organizing, and food systems activism. He’s worked with the EPA to reduce single-use plastic waste, with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to establish Marine Protected Areas, and for the past 10 years here in Orange County promoting local regenerative organic community farms.
