Create a Coiled Ornament

Come make something fun for the holidays with local fiber artist Antonia Price! In this class participants will be using scrap yarns and fiber rush to make coiled ornaments. Coiling is a basketry technique that can be used to make all kinds of creative and fun shapes, and it's a great way to use up those last scraps of yarn from your other projects. All materials will be provided, but you're welcome to bring some special yarn from your stash. Instructor Bio: Antonia Price is a local fiber artist and instructor living right in Curtis Park! She makes sculptural fiber art and teaches fiber art techniques in museums, art and community centers throughout the region. Price maintains her art practice while raising her two young children, and when she isn't stitching in her backyard studio she can be found singing in Music Together classes, walking the track during morning movement at Bret Harte and playing on the playground in Curtis Park and the Green at Sierra 2.
