About this event

Join woodworking extraordinaire Oscar in Cutting Boards 101. Participants will go through the fundamentals of wood working and create their very own cutting board in this two part series.  Day one (Friday, May 1: 5pm-7pm): To start off participants will be guided on the specifics of how to design and build their cutting board. From there you'll get to choose the wood for your board and get to building!  Day Two (Sunday, May 3:4pm-5:30pm): Day two will focus on the finishing touches. Here you'll get to sand and oil your board for a beautiful custom finish and take it home.  Come along and add a little flare to your kitchen at home!    Instructor Bio:  Oscar Briones has been making handcrafted wood products for the home (including cutting boards) for over 10 years. He has been teaching woodworking classes for over 5 years and is currently teaching beginner and advance wood-shop classes at the local Maker Space.
