Community Volunteer Day

It’s Indigenous Peoples’ Day at the Gardens, and we are honoring the day with some beautification projects! Have you been interested in volunteering at Smith-Gilbert Gardens and didn’t know how to begin? Join us with friends and family for one or all our 2026 Community Volunteer Days! Registration is free but required to participate. Children are welcome to join their parents (a parent consent form will be on site at check-in for your child to participate). We will provide all of the tools and gloves, but you are also welcome to bring your own. Wear pants to help protect your knees, and layers, as it can be cold in the morning as we begin.
