From Smith-Gilbert Gardens

Calling all citizen scientists! On August 21 – 22 this citizen science project invites people of all ages to spend 15 minutes counting pollinators (like bees, butterflies, and other insects) on blooming plants. Your observations help scientists better understand pollinator populations and support conservation efforts across the Southeast. Be a part of this important project, created by the University of Georgia, to make a difference in pollinator conservation. The Gardens will provide counting sheets and guides. This is included with Garden Admission. Learn more at gsepc.org. Get Garden admission tickets at https://ticketscandy.com/e/general-admission-1884 If you want to participate at home, visit https://smithgilbertgardens.com/the-great-southeast-pollinator-census/ for a how-to video and downloadable worksheets.
