The Circus that Lives on Auditions

This spring we will be debuting our newest production, The Circus that Lives On This uplifting and inspiring ballet follows the true story of the Althoff family who took in a Jewish family, the Danner’s, during World War 2 in Germany. The Althoffs risked everything and hid the Danner family in full sight for five years-in the middle of their traveling circus. The Althoffs were awarded the Israeli honor, Righteous Among the Nations, for their heroism and courage. A ballet filled with love and bravery, energetic circus scenes, swing dancing and classic 1940’s hits, and a powerful, emotional story that inspires us to live our own life full of humanity and kindness. “We circus people see no difference between races or religions. I have only done my duty and protected the human beings that were entrusted to us.” -Adolf Althoff The performances will be held at the Rochester Opera House on Friday, April 2nd at 7pm and Saturday, April 3rd at 1pm and 6pm.
