About this event
One of 21 upcoming events at Sons of the Revolution in the State of New York, and 6,800 across New York City.
Since 1972, the Fraunces Tavern® Museum Book Award has been presented annually to the author of the best newly published work on the American Revolutionary War, combining original scholarship, insight, and good writing. This award is one way the Museum fulfills its mission to educate the public about the Revolution and acknowledge the historical community dedicated to the study and public education regarding the American fight for freedom. On April 19, 2027, Sons of the Revolution℠ in the State of New York, Inc. invite you to gather with us to commemorate the 251st Anniversary of the Battles of Lexington and Concord, which took place on April 19, 1775. At this commemoration, we will also honor the winner of the 2026 Fraunces Tavern Museum Book Award. There will also be a chance to preview the latest segment of our special United States Semiquincentennial exhibition, Path to Liberty: The Emergence of a Nation.
