Lesser-Loved Critter Plushies - Saturday Edition

Everyone loves cute, soft, fluffy stuffed animals! They're great companions to people of all ages and are usually made to look like universally beloved creatures like bears, kittens, bunnies, and...spiders? Join us for the spooky season to learn how to sew a stuffed animal shaped like a misunderstood and underloved critter that we share the planet with. There will be several patterns and all of the fabric and supplies you'll need available here at the library. Some of the patterns will be more complicated than others! Here are some of our options: Snake (beginner, no sewing experience necessary) Bat (beginner, no sewing experience necessary) Simple Spider (beginner/intermediate, no sewing experience necessary) Shark (intermediate, sewing experience recommended but not required) Wasp (intermediate, sewing experience recommended but not required) Accurate Spider (advanced, sewing experience highly recommended: but if you're brave and determined and want this to be your first ever project, more power to you!) You may or may not be able to finish your project in a two-hour session, so plan to bring materials home with you and/or come to multiple sessions. We meet the second and third Fridays in October in the Makerspace. We will also have an extra session on Saturday, October 10th, from 10-1 in the Makerspace. Come to as few or as many as you'd like and make as many critters as you have time for! Hope to see you there!
