Halloween night, DJ Kung Fu Bob Spehar returns to Speak of the Devil—and Bob does things a little differently. He arrives carrying a wonderfully unhinged collection of vinyl, CDs and, yes, actual cassette tapes, then proceeds to stitch the whole mess together into one of the strangest, coolest soundtracks you’re likely to hear anywhere. Garage rock. Punk. Soul. Funk. Rock ’n’ roll. Weird forgotten cuts. Things you recognize. Things you absolutely do not.
