Speed Studio: Process + Practice | Legacy Workshop

REGISTER Instructor: Stephen Batiz “Moment in Time” Legacy Workshops is a new creative series for adults ages 60 and older that invites participants to explore art making, connect with others, and honor the magic of a creative practice. In this session we will invite you to take inspiration from Kentucky cabinetmaker William Lowry’s remarkable tall clock; participants will design and build a working clock with a creative twist. Like Lowry’s clock, which has an element that transforms from a daytime to a nighttime scene, your clock will have a transformation of its own. Using simple materials commonly found at home, we will create one-of-a- kind functional artworks. No prior experience is required- just curiosity and creativity. While we will be leading a featured project, participants are invited to bring small works from prior legacy workshops to continue creating in a shared studio environment.
