About this event
One of 152 upcoming events at Springfield Vermont Town Library, and 1,141 across Upper Valley.
A Personal Emergency Preparedness Class is designed to teach individuals and families how to plan for, respond to, and recover from unexpected disasters or crises. Participants will receive a flooding go-bag preparedness starter kit after the class. Meet Misha McNabb, an Applied Doctoral Researcher in Global Security Studies. Misha is also a UV MRC Unit Leader and a Public Health Emergency Preparedness Specialist with the Vermont Department of Health, Office of Local Health. She supports the White River Junction and Springfield District Offices. When she’s not being a HUGE emergency preparedness nerd, Misha enjoys watching her daughter compete in full-contact martial arts and equestrian eventing. She also loves spending time in the garden. Fun Fact: Misha has two pups and two bunnies—but her 4-pound, 6-month-old Dutch bunny is definitely the boss of the house. LOL!
