About this event
One of 149 upcoming events at Springfield Vermont Town Library, and 1,141 across Upper Valley.
The Lions will be at the Springfield Town Library on Monday, November 16, from 10 a.m. to noon to offer free vision screenings. The screening is quick and easy. You sit at a table and look into a special camera. In just a few seconds, the screening is done. You will receive a printed report with your results. The camera checks for several possible vision problems, including nearsightedness, farsightedness, blurry vision, differences in how the eyes focus, problems with eye structure, unusual pupil size, and eyes that do not line up properly. The camera can tell if your results are within the expected range or if they need further attention. However, it does not measure how clearly you can see letters or objects, which is called visual acuity.
