About this event

If you’re a kid that wants to know more about the ground beneath your feet, this is the class for you! The stones that are used in jewelry are a part of our planet and our everyday life.  In this workshop, you’ll identify rocks, minerals, and fossils while we celebrate Earth Day. Along the way you’ll also learn basic wire wrapping skills – chains for bracelets and necklaces, pendants, and more! – that you can use to make your own jewelry or decorations. No experience necessary; tools are available, and all materials included. Students should bring a snack, a 30-minute break is included in the class. Instructor: Barbara Meyer Ages 11-14 Wednesday, 1-3:30 pm One class: April 22 Register
