July 4, 2026, will mark 250 years since the Continental Congress ratified The Declaration of Independence. As The United States marks its revolutionary beginnings, discover how Springfield has been a historic center of invention and radical new ideas. Curator of History Elizabeth Kapp will share stories from the exhibition Declaration of Innovation: Springfield’s Revolutionary Ideas at The Wood Museum of Springfield History. Uncover lesser-known tales of Springfield’s innovative actions that continue to impact our daily lives and learn how anyone can be revolutionary!
