Pottery Wheel Basics

this 3-week class meets Saturday, march 7th, 14th, & 21st from 11:00am to 1:00pm Students will learn step by step how to throw basic forms on the potter’s wheel. In the first class, students will learn and practice making different vessels that could be wheel thrown such as mugs, bowls, and plates. Students will trim their thrown pieces and then work with stamps and tools to add different textures, designs, and attachments to their work. In the last class students will apply glazes and the instructor will give students a time and date to pick up their fired pieces. Students are asked to bring an old rag or towel to use for clean up!
