Artista Vista at Stormwater Studios Stormwater Studios is excited to participate in Artista Vista 2026, featuring our Semi-Annual Resident Artists Exhibition, Rites of Spring, and Art Day. This year’s exhibition celebrates the arrival of spring with vibrant energy, fresh ideas, and boundless creativity. From paintings and drawings to sculptures and mixed media, our resident artists explore themes of renewal, daydreaming, and the promise of new beginnings. Step into a world where imagination blossoms and inspiration flourishes. The exhibition captures the joy, vitality, and playful spirit of the season, inviting visitors to experience spring through the artists’ eyes. The exhibition will be on display Wednesday, April 15, through Sunday, April 19, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The opening reception is part of the Artista Vista Gallery Crawl on Friday, April 17, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Stormwater Studios is proud to be part of this annual event in the Congaree Vista District, an official South Carolina Cultural District. Artista Vista begins on Friday, April 17, with a Gallery Crawl throughout the Vista District from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Stroll through the neighborhood’s distinctive galleries and artists’ studios, and make a night of it! Start your evening at Stormwater Studios, located at 413 Pendleton Street, and be sure to visit our neighbors, Lewis & Clark Studios and One Eared Cow Glass, who will also be open during the crawl. This event is free and open to the public, and all are welcome to join us for a wonderful evening of art. Art Day at Stormwater Studios will take place on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This free, family-friendly event invites visitors to explore the studios, connect with resident artists, and enjoy a full day of creativity and community engagement. Beginning at 12:00 p.m., two visiting artists from Emeralds Artistry Entertainment will offer face painting and henna tattoos until 2:00 p.m. From 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., guests can enjoy live music by singer Adam Corbett, followed by a guided tour of the native plant garden with Stormwater Studios gardener Karen Murphy from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., where she will share the garden’s history and highlight favorite plants for pollinators. The afternoon continues with a performance by saxophonist David Rodriguez from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Throughout the day, visitors will also have opportunities to engage directly with Stormwater’s resident artists and their work. Nearby studios, including Lewis & Clark Studios and One Eared Cow Glass, will also be open—making this a full day of art exploration across the district.
