Engage Directly with Health System Leaders The Health Management Academy’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Forum is a trusted hub for senior financial leaders in healthcare seeking to forge meaningful relationships, share strategic insights, and shape the future of healthcare financial management. Built for top executives from the country's leading health systems and select industry partners, the CFO Forum offers an intimate, closed-door setting where collaboration and peer learning drive long-term impact. With a strict 1:1 health system-to-industry ratio and curated content designed by CFOs, the experience delivers more than just another conference, it delivers a trusted community. The CFO Forum is hosted twice a year in thoughtfully selected locations across the country. Each event is timed to align with evolving industry priorities and provides a fresh opportunity to reconnect with peers, gain new insights, and advance your healthcare financial strategy. Member-Driven Content, Curated for CFOs: All of our meetings are built around the priorities that matter most to today’s healthcare CFOs, like capital allocation, expanding access without compromising margins, and managing next-gen RCM investments post-AI hype. From small-group discussions to executive panels, all content is led by and for members. The Right People, in the Right Room: Attendees include 30–40 health system CFOs from organizations like Mayo Clinic, Yale New Haven Health, Novant Health, and Intermountain, alongside key industry leaders - typically CEOs, Chief Growth Officers, and product and strategy executives. All participants are hand-selected based on their ability to contribute meaningfully to the conversation. A Forum Built for Relationships: With two and a half days of programming, including reception-style dinners and informal social gatherings that welcome friends and family, the CFO Forum makes room for more than just business. True Partnership: The industry executives who attend this program are here to listen, contribute insights, and build lasting connections with CFOs facing similar challenges. Every interaction is peer-to-peer. The CFO Forum creates a purpose-built space for executive-level engagement. Every session, social setting, and touchpoint is curated to foster meaningful, candid dialogue between fellow Chief Financial Officers and select industry innovators, most commonly CEOs, Chief Growth Officers, and strategic product leaders. Collaborative Risk Leadership and Strategic Resilience: CFOs and clinical executives shared how joint finance–clinical partnerships are transforming enterprise risk management. Sessions focused on shifting from reactive crisis response to proactive scenario planning, aligning strategy across functions to strengthen financial resilience amid uncertainty. Navigating Policy, Medicaid, and Regulatory Change: Legal and policy experts unpacked the far-reaching effects of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) on Medicaid reimbursement, supplemental payments, and compliance. Discussions centered on practical implications for independent systems and the steps required to safeguard financial stability in a rapidly evolving environment. Driving Performance Through Focus and Financial Discipline: Finance leaders explored how disciplined prioritization and data-informed decision-making can sustain long-term viability. Participants examined how leading systems are adapting governance, cost control, and investment frameworks to maintain clarity and momentum despite persistent margin pressure. Revenue Cycle and AI Innovation: CFOs discussed the next evolution of revenue cycle management, from outsourcing strategies to AI enablement. Conversations highlighted how finance teams are leveraging automation and payer intelligence to reduce denials, improve collections, and position RCM as a strategic advantage entering 2026. Each CFO Forum is a 2.5-day immersive experience hosted in carefully selected locations across the US. Sessions focus on member-led, real-time challenges and forward-looking strategies. Join us as Jeff Jones shares his personal experience with The Health Management Academy, which spans over two decades. Beth Walker, CEO of Oschner Baptist, shares how the open, trust-filled environment among C-suite executives allows them to candidly discuss their challenges. Todd Cozzens, Founder of Transformation Capital, shares how THMA has helped deepen his industry connections and relationships. Andy DeLao, CSO & CMKO at Ge HealthCare, shares his insights and experiences working with The Health Management Academy. Nicole Shingler, VP, Enterprise Revenue Cycle for R1 RCM explains just how much THMA stands apart by cultivating connections within the healthcare industry. Nkem Iroegbu, President of Advocate Health, speaks about having the right support system in the healthcare industry. Corey Aferiat, VP at THMA, talks about how members feel a very unique sense of ownership over the forums.
