Spring Concert 2027

SOGO brings the season to a spectacular close with an afternoon of unforgettable music! The concert opens with a thrilling Brass Fanfare and Chorale by Olympia composer Mark Thome, written especially for SOGO and featuring the majestic sound of the Washington Center’s organ. The mood then shifts with Leonard Bernstein’s lively Selections from West Side Story, filled with familiar melodies and infectious rhythms. The grand finale is Camille Saint-Saëns’ magnificent last movement of Symphony No. 3, “Organ Symphony,” one of the most awe-inspiring works ever written for orchestra. From moments of quiet beauty to its breathtaking, organ-filled finale, this masterpiece is a powerful and deeply moving conclusion to SOGO’s concert season.
