About: Blast Choir is an Iowa City-based power trio that plays loud, melodic indie rock/punk with an emphasis on eminently tuneful, well-crafted original songs. Affectionately dubbed “rock ‘n roll therapy” sessions, the band’s joy-filled weekly basement practices paid off with the release of the pandemic era-produced The B.C. EP in 2022 and a slate of live shows, beginning with their premiere at Gabe’s in March 2023. The group released the single “Buy Me a Mile” in 2024, with their full-length debut, produced and engineered by Jeremy Ackerman at Mouse Traxx, due out this summer. Blast Choir is Jeffrey C.
