To Belong featuring Rory Jackson will be at Edgewater Gallery from May 23rd-June 21st. This body of work moves between two landscapes Jackson calls home: the mountains and fields of central Vermont and the coastal fishing villages of western Ghana. Rooted in observation and lived experience, Jackson’s paintings explore the quiet, enduring relationship between people and place. His subjects, from winding river valleys to weathered shorelines, are chosen for their ability to hold memory, presence and emotional gravity. Across continents, these works reflect a shared human instinct to find grounding in the land and connection within community. To Belong is an exploration of that instinct, a meditation on the spaces that offer grace, familiarity, and a sense of where the heart settles.
