The duo (Bryce Menchaca and Kellen Wall) first introduced their classic-meets-contemporary musical style through their debut track “66,” produced by GRAMMY Award winner Nick Waterhouse (Leon Bridges, Jon Batiste) and recorded at Los Angeles’ legendary EastWest Studios, the same room that gave life to Pet Sounds and California Dreamin’. Momentum continued with the fan-favorite “Daisy,” now climbing at radio (#4 at Americana and #39 at AAA). After becoming the first act to sign with Ascend Music (a division of Big Machine Label Group) in July 2025, Marfa released “Little Miss Two Time,” which KCRW’s Today’s Top Tunes praised as “music that ties Laurel Canyon to West Texas,” calling their sound “a proverbial hay bale of beautiful harmonies and foot-stomping good times.” Now with “American Lonely” and “Little Lowdown,” the duo continues to bring “Denver Americana to the masses” (Westword) as they invite listeners into their expansive sonic imagination.
