ABOUT TEACHING YOUNG ARTISTS Sol Theatre Company and TACAW are excited to co-host a three-part professional development workshop for artists and educators interested in developing their skills as a teaching artist. This series is designed for creatives of all disciplines who want to further hone their teaching craft and create effective, engaging, and inclusive arts education programs. Participants will explore the core responsibilities of a teaching artist, including classroom management, lesson planning, and adapting instruction for diverse learning needs. The workshop emphasizes practical tools and real-world application, culminating in hands-on teaching practice with youth actors. By the end of the series, artists will gain confidence in leading a classroom, designing age-appropriate lessons, and stepping into teaching artist roles in schools, community programs, and arts organizations.
