About the Workshop Monotype printing using a gel plate is a fun and unique printmaking method that doesn’t require a press. This versatile medium begs for experimentation and can be an addictive addition to your artistic tool box. In this workshop, we will explore the many ways of creating a monotype print using a gel plate. Some of the techniques we will introduce include the use of natural materials, stencils, and everyday textures as well as underpainting, pan pastel use and photo transfer.
