Next Level | Sew Seen: Stitching New Narratives with Nneka Jones

Saturday, Oct 3 – Sunday, Oct 4 | 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM (2 classes) Ages 18+ | Beginner-Intermediate Level Sew Seen: Stitching New Narratives invites participants to explore storytelling through contemporary mixed media techniques that combine printmaking, painting, and embroidery. Inspired by Nneka Jones’ work featured in Avant Garde: Remarkable Women in the Permanent Collection at the Tampa Museum of Art, students will experiment with layering imagery, texture, and thread to transform everyday visuals into expressive works of art. Throughout the workshop, participants will learn foundational stitching and image-transfer techniques while developing their own visual narratives in a collaborative and supportive environment.
