Volunteer with Teatown: Forest Research Project Plant Care
From publicly posted calendar Checked 3 days ago
About this event
One of 17 upcoming events at Teatown Lake Reservation Nature Preserve and Education Center, and 1,301 across Westchester.
Teatown is conducting research on Beech Leaf Disease to determine the most effective ways to help native forest communities thrive in beech canopy gaps. In order to complete this project, we need the help of volunteers to transport and spread mulch to protect newly planted trees and shrubs. We will be hiking through the woods with the mulch and visiting multiple research plots.
