Behind the Scenes with an Indie Band: Q&A Workshop with SIRSY

The 443 Music Collective is excited to present its very first workshop, featuring one of our all-time favorite acts – SIRSY! This dynamic duo is so good at so many aspects of this crazy business, we knew they would be the perfect choice to kick off our educational series at the 443 Social Club. The 443 Music Collective is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization producing extraordinary music events, offering educational opportunities, and creating powerful, up-close-and-personal live experiences.   SIRSY is an award-winning indie band that has entered its 26th year playing original music as a career and (mostly) paying all its bills on time! How do they do it?  Why do they do it? Join our Q&A workshop with Mel and Rich from SIRSY and find out. Attendees can even submit a question or topic for Mel and Rich to cover during the workshop so that it’s tailored to the folks who attend! The workshop covers topics like: Life on the road  – including tips for upcoming touring artists and fun stories for fans How to book tour dates as an independent artist without an agent or team Marketing and building a fan base as an independent artist Creative ways to engage with your fanbase and the importance of saying “Thank You” Getting your music out there to the public  – streaming + physically Selling band merchandise How to create a professional-looking and sounding live stream. Stories behind the songs, how they were written, and how they change as they play them live Recording and writing songs – a behind-the-scenes look Heartfelt stories from live streams and how they help connect with fans History of the band and its evolution over the years Attendees can ask any questions they want (even personal ones!)
