Middle Sister concert — Acoustic Duo

@ ARCADIA, OK – Oklahoma folk duo Middle Sister will perform a free Sunday afternoon concert at the historic Arcadia Round Barn on Sunday, August 16, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The concert is part of the Round Barn’s popular Elm Tree Concert Series, with donations welcomed to support the historic landmark and its music programming. Middle Sister is the acclaimed acoustic duo of Susan Pierce and Robin Brooks, whose heartfelt performances combine original songs with beloved folk and rock classics. Their music features rich vocal harmonies, imaginative songwriting, and an engaging blend of acoustic instruments that creates an intimate concert experience. The two musicians first met as music majors at Oklahoma City University before following separate musical journeys and raising families. In 2019, Pierce and Brooks reunited to form Middle Sister, quickly becoming favorites throughout Oklahoma’s live music scene. Their performances are known for thoughtful storytelling, expressive musicianship, and the warm chemistry that comes from a lifelong friendship. Drawing from folk, country, and Americana traditions, Middle Sister’s original songs explore life’s joys, challenges, and shared experiences, while their fresh interpretations of classic favorites invite audiences to sing along and reminisce. “The Elm Tree Concert Series is all about bringing exceptional Oklahoma musicians to one of the state’s most unique historic venues,” said Round Barn Music Director Joe Baxter. “Middle Sister’s beautiful harmonies and heartfelt songwriting make them a perfect fit for a relaxing Sunday afternoon at the Round Barn.” Concertgoers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating beneath the shade of the historic elm tree on the north side of the Round Barn. In the event of inclement weather, the performance will move inside the Round Barn’s remarkable acoustical interior. Admission is free. The Arcadia Round Barn is located at 107 E. Highway 66 in Arcadia, Oklahoma. The historic 1898 Round Barn, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is one of Oklahoma’s most recognizable landmarks and continues to host concerts, community events, and Route 66 visitors throughout the year.
