The Bend Sessions: West Bend’s Free Community Lecture Series August – November 2026 GARY D’AMATO Beyond the Fairways: 30+ Years of The Masters & The Wisconsin Golf Story — From Hidden Gems to Global Destination Gary D’Amato has covered golf in Wisconsin since 1980, first for the Racine Journal Times and then for 26 years at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, before joining Wisconsin.Golf and Killarney Golf Media in 2018. He has covered more than 75 major championships, including every Masters Tournament since 1993, along with 11 Olympic Games and five Ryder Cups. A three-time Wisconsin Sportswriter of the Year, D’Amato was inducted into the Wisconsin Golf Hall of Fame in 2017 — one of only three writers ever enshrined.
