Raising Heck Opening Reception

The opening reception for ‘Raising Heck’ will be more than an art show — it will include community conversation, shared resources for families, and space to connect with other parents, caregivers, and artists navigating these times together. Caregiver is intentionally defined broadly — this includes parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, guardians, teachers, mentors, and anyone who plays a meaningful role in raising a child. This exhibition will feature paired artwork displayed together — one piece created by the caregiver/artist and one piece created by a child in their life responding to the prompt “Hope.” The intention is to create a visual conversation between generations, highlighting the contrast and connection between what caregivers carry and why they choose to shoulder it. Both works will be exhibited side by side as part of the installation. As always our receptions are free and open to the public, all ages welcome!
