About this event

Family Friendly

Learn CPR, how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED), and how to respond to choking emergencies. These are non-certification classes. Participants will receive a participation card (helpful for babysitters and caregivers). Taught by Franklin Firefighters who are paramedics and American Heart Association CPR instructors, using the AHA Family & Friends curriculum. Recommended for ages 12 and older. Classes involve kneeling, bending, and physical activity – please wear appropriate clothing. According to the American Heart Association, immediate CPR can double or triple survival chances after cardiac arrest.
