Be dazzled by Ravel’s Piano Concerto, a self-portrait that features the piano as both an intimate voice and a bold force of nature, in the masterful hands of returning soloist George Li. Dukas’ The Sorcerer’s Apprentice swirls magical melodies and spellbinding rhythms, made famous by the 1940 Disney classic Fantasia. The evening begins with the orchestra’s first-ever performance of Griffes’ hypnotic tone poem The Pleasure Dome of Kubla Khan. We’re full of surprises.
