This choral masterpiece merges operatic intensity with sacred reverence, exploring the full range of human emotion—from fear and sorrow to hope and transcendence. It stands as one of Verdi’s most profound and stirring works, a requiem that feels both personal and universal. She is a second-year Adler Fellow with The San Francisco Opera, where she is seen this season as Kitty Hart in Dead Man Walking, the Sixth Blumenmädchen in Parsifal, Contessa Ceprano in Rigoletto, and covering the role of Mimi in La Bohéme. Previous roles with The San Francisco Opera include Moira in The Handmaid’s Tale, Erste Dame (cover) in Die Zauberflöte, and Mimi in Bohéme out of the Box. Additionally in the 2025 season, Caroline made her house debut with Opera Naples as Mimi in La Bohéme under the baton of Maestro Ramón Tebar. A 2023 participant in the esteemed Merola Opera Program, her performances included the role of Female Chorus in The Rape of Lucretia, and scenes as Amelia in Simon Boccanegra and Ellen Orford in Peter Grimes. In the 2022 Season, Ms. Corrales was an Apprentice Singer of The Santa Fe Opera. She was featured in the Apprentice Scenes as Rosalinde in Die Fledermaus and Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni, as well as the mainstage ensembles of Carmen, Falstaff, and M. Butterfly (world premiere). Ms. Corrales is a proud recipient of the 2025 Richard F. Gold Career Grant from The Shoshana Foundation. An avid competitor, she was most recently seen as a Grant Winner in the Pasadena Vocal Competition, and as a Finalist in the McCammon Voice Competition. Notably, she was a New York City District Winner of the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition (2021-2022), and a Grand Finalist in the Concurso Internacional de Canto Tenor Viñas (2022). She has twice been named the Boston District Winner and New England Region Encouragement Award Winner of the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition (2019-2020, 2020-2021). Other recent awards include Semifinalist in the Houston Saengerbund Vocal Competition (2021), Finalist in the National Opera Association Vocal Competition (2021), Semifinalist in the Camerata Bardi International Vocal Competition (2021), and Second Prize in the Orpheus Vocal Competition (2020).
