Led by Doug Romaine, Historic Preservation Advisor with Austin Historical, this session will cover why preserving original windows matters—and how to approach their repair and restoration with confidence. Since 2010, Austin Historical has built a reputation across the Southeast for safeguarding the craftsmanship and character of historic buildings, with a focus on restoring historic windows and doors. In this workshop, Doug will share practical insights drawn from that experience, along with guidance for property owners, stewards, and preservation advocates. The session will include ample time for questions and discussion. Registered attendees will receive a link to join the session by Zoom closer to the event.
