About this event
One of 29 upcoming events at The Holland Project.
Do your horror villains come off more funny than scary? Do your jump scares fall flat? It sounds like your work is lacking dread, one of the foundations of horror. Come learn to layer it into your writing! Through setting, atmosphere, momentum, and pacing, you can build tension that will make your readers afraid to look away. All levels of writers are welcome. Bring your favorite writing implement and master the timing of terror! Please note: This is a virtual workshop and will be hosted via Zoom. Leo “Leonine” Walsh is a writer, editor, and book coach that was born and raised in Reno. They’re a member of Sierra Arts Literary community, have a MA in Creative Writing, and Publishing and a MFA in Writing Popular Fiction. For questions please contact [email protected]. Unfortunately, we are unable to give refunds for workshop registration unless the workshop is cancelled, instructors can’t make it, or in the event of an emergency situation. We thank you for your understanding! <3
