With its large, buttery-yellow blooms, Carlton is a classic spring daffodil that performs beautifully in the coastal Southeast. Reliable, vigorous, and easy to grow, it returns year after year and multiplies readily, allowing a small planting to become an impressive display over time. Carlton grows approximately 16–18 inches tall and typically blooms in March. Its lightly fragrant flowers feature broad trumpets surrounded by rounded petals. Plant the bulbs in full sun to partial shade in borders, woodland gardens, mass plantings, or anywhere you’d like a burst of early spring color.
