Let the Music Play: Steinway Residency Series featuring Esther Jeehae Ahn

In collaboration with the Steinway Piano Gallery, the Mint is bringing the thrill of piano music to Mint Museum Uptown. Pianist Esther Jeehae Ahn has captivated international audiences with her distinctive blend of brilliance, sensitivity, and depth, appearing at leading venues including Lincoln Center, Boston’s Symphony Hall, Seoul Arts Center, and the Moscow Conservatory. A dynamic soloist and chamber musician, she is known for performances that combine expressive clarity with imaginative musical storytelling. Her artistic work spans core repertoire and contemporary and interdisciplinary projects, reflecting a wide-ranging and evolving creative vision. Esther holds degrees from the New England Conservatory and the Eastman School of Music. In addition to an active international performance schedule that includes concerts, residencies, and recording projects, she is Assistant Professor and Director of Keyboard Studies at the University of Central Florida. She also serves on faculty at Bay PianoFest at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and has held leadership roles with the Music Teachers National Association and Utah Music Teachers Association. Every third Wednesday of the month, a rotating lineup of talented local and regional pianists will fill the museum space with piano performances. Performances will take place 6–6:45 PM and as part of Free Wednesday Evenings, giving visitors time to enjoy the music, explore the galleries that are open until 9 p.m. every Wednesday, and still have time to enjoy dinner at Mariposa at the Mint. The series is presented by First Horizon Bank.
