BlueStem Residency invites you to celebrate the release of Live in Chicago (Shifting Paradigm Records), the latest album from guitarist Kenny Reichert. Devin Drobka – drums Letters From The Road is a five-week residency sponsored by BlueStem and North Street Cabaret and presented by guitarist and composer Kenny Reichert featuring a different ensemble each night. Originally conceived during a residency at the Ragdale Foundation, the music for Colours grew out of time spent walking and observing the prairie landscape. These compositions represent some of Reichert's most detailed and structurally ambitious writing, balancing through-composed material with space for individual voice. The music treats texture, space, and ensemble color as primary compositional elements.
