BlueStem Residency invites you to celebrate the release of Live in Chicago (Shifting Paradigm Records), the latest album from guitarist Kenny Reichert. Letters From The Road is a five-week residency sponsored by BlueStem and North Street Cabaret and presented by guitarist and composer Kenny Reichert featuring a different ensemble each night. Moldovest Ana Everling – voice Kenny Reichert – electric guitar John Christensen – upright bass Moldovest brings together Chicago-based Moldovan vocalist Ana Everling, Madison-based bassist John Christensen, and guitarist Kenny Reichert in a new collaborative project. Reichert has been composing new material with their distinct musical voices in mind, drawing together Eastern European lyricism, modern jazz language, and open-ended improvisation. This performance marks the first presentation of the project and the beginning of what is intended to grow into a long-term creative collaboration.
