BlueStem Residency invites you to celebrate the release of Live in Chicago (Shifting Paradigm Records), the latest album from guitarist Kenny Reichert. Prairie Grass Kenny Reichert – electric guitar Ethan Philion – upright bass Devin Drobka – drums Letters From The Road is a five-week residency sponsored by BlueStem and North Street Cabaret and presented by guitarist and composer Kenny Reichert featuring a different ensemble each night. The series highlights Reichert's original music written during years of touring across Europe and North America, with each performance bringing together collaborators who have shaped his musical life along the way. The result is a rotating cast of artists and projects that reflect friendship, travel, and shared musical history. Prairie Grass brings together guitarist Kenny Reichert with longtime collaborators Ethan Philion and Devin Drobka, two musicians who have played a significant role in shaping Reichert’s writing and improvisational approach. The repertoire draws from music the trio has developed through years of performing and recording together, alongside new compositions written specifically for this residency.
