Collage by Selene Nuñéz-Cruz, Dancing Cherry Blossom Weekly Collage Open Studio Program Title: Collage Open Studio Facilitator: Selene NC/ telenita04@hotmail.com Location: PC Studio and Tea room Schedule: Mondays, 2:00–4:00 PM Frequency: Weekly through July 13 Fee: $5.00/cash/ pay at the door Audience: Open to both members and non-members of the PC. No prior experience required. Overview This workshop proposes a weekly, drop-in collage open studio that invites participants to explore creative expression through paper-based media. Using materials already available at the PC: such as magazines, decorative papers, and assorted paper sheets. Participants will have the opportunity to experiment with composition, layering, texture, and visual storytelling in a supportive, low-pressure environment. Objectives Provide an accessible, inclusive space for creative exploration Encourage both beginners and experienced artists to engage with collage techniques Foster community through shared making and conversation Activate existing materials and studio space in a consistent, engaging way Format Each session will be lightly structured to accommodate a range of participants: Introduction (10–15 min): Brief overview of collage approaches, prompts, or artist references Open Studio (90 min): Independent or guided creation with support as needed Wrap-Up (15 min): Optional sharing and group reflection Participants may attend regularly or drop in as their schedule allows. Materials All primary materials will be provided by the club, including: Magazines and printed ephemera Decorative and colored paper Paper sheets and basic collage supplies (scissors, glue, etc.) Participants are also welcome to bring personal materials if desired.
