CUBE Contemporary Chamber Ensemble: Red Rays

To celebrate CUBE’s 25th anniversary, we are proud to present a dynamic bill featuring Red Rays, for flute and piano by Marta Ptaszynska, professor of music composition at the University, in its US premiere, performed by the renowned Polish flutist, Agata Igras-Sawicka and Chicago pianist Kuang-Hao Huang. Other composers on the program include Augusta Read Thomas, also a member of the University music faculty, Witold Lutoslaswki, Toru Takemitsu, Elzbieta Sikora and Janice Misurell-Mitchell. Guest performers include Richard Nunemaker, bass clarinet and Jeremy Ruthrauff, alto saxophone.
